JAVA BACK-END ENGINEER (SECURITY, FRAUD)

Sony Techsoft Centre is seeking an experienced Java backend engineer to join the Fraud Detection team, which creates tools and models for Sony business units. The team focusses on application events and network traffic to identify threats and anomalies that are part of malicious activities, protecting our services against fraud.

Key Responsibilities & Scope for Decision Making

The ideal candidate will be a strong back-end software developer, with experience in developing solutions using Big Data tools and technologies, familiarity with predictive analytics, and an understanding of machine learning techniques. They will help the team develop complete fraud detection systems, from data gathering, cleansing and analysis to implementation of real-time detection systems.

Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field, be fluent in English, and have the following skills and experience.

o4+ years of back-end development experience
oJava EE, Spring
oRESTful services
oBig Data tools and technologies such as
oHadoop, Spark
oRedis, Cassandra
oSplunk
oOther technologies
oPython
oSQL
oExcellent coding, reviewing and testing skills
oExperience with continuous integration tools

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
oExperience in fraud detection (in any industry: gaming, banking, insurance…)
oExperience in data analytics and machine learning
oExperience in DevOps

BONUS EXPERIENCE
oCloud computing: AWS, Google Cloud
oData analytics: R, KNIME, WEKA, FICO, TensorFlow
oProgramming: Scala, Haskell
