Mission

Director Risk & Audit is responsible to provide an effective and independent monitoring environment of market and credit risks, and to provide an independent, objective assurance
and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the company’s operations.

Internal Audit aims to help the company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management and control processes.

Liste de tâches

1. Assurance and advisory tasks : final responsible for supervising audit missions and ensuring efficiency of the self-assessment internal control process – propose recommendations to the Audit committee, CFO, CEO and Executive Committee , as well as to the business to improve the efficiency of the company organization, its control environment and reduce the business risks
2. Identify in a consistent and impartial manner, measure and monitor the levels of commodity and market risks of EDF Luminus;

• Recommend strategies in terms of risk tolerance and risk mitigation;
• Perform effective market and credit controls and reports accordingly;
• Monitor the end-to-end assessment of energy procurement and trading process, and give advice on risk and process improvement;

• Supervise the overall market and credit risks of the commodity portfolio of EDF Luminus and ensure that all these activities are coordinated correctly and checked properly:
• • Develop appropriate and relevant market and credit strategies in accordance with the agreed risk tolerance and guidelines of the Group;
  • Timely and accurate consulting market and credit metrics, reporting and monitoring all risk strategies;
  • Provide advice on the development of sourcing and hedging strategies with Trading & Supply;
  • Develop and maintain control frameworks for all risk activities based on the best risk methods;
• Monitoring of credit assessment and approval processes for B2C and B2B activities in close cooperation with the Retail and Optimisation and B2B departments, including counterparty assessment, identification, quantification and mitigation of risks; Monitoring of bad debt provisions and preparation of the Cash and Credit Steerco (copiloting Retail / Finance) in charge of piloting credit, billing and bad debt KPIS and performance
• Ensure close cooperation between Accounting, Controlling, Projects , Purchasing and Tax & Risk and Audit activities, through an active participation in Finance team;
• Develop the competencies of the Risk & Audit team and all his team members (6 people)

Connaissances/Expérience

• Master degree
• More than 10 years’ experience in Finance / Risks
• Strong technical experience in the area of risks of energy and / or financial markets
• With credibility and presence to explain and propose risk & audit issues, and to make recommendations to the Board and Audit Committee
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English
