Senior Accountant

As our Senior Accountant you will be based in Brussels and will be supporting our operations in both Belgium and the Netherlands. We are a fast growing company in which the finance function has a key role in ensuring the continued growth. Your responsibilities consist of:

• You have full responsibility to manage the general ledger accounts;
• You ensure timely and accurate Banks & General reconciliations;
• You are responsible for accurate and complete provisions at all times throughout the year
• You organize and follow up on Intercompany transactions;
• You ensure Monthly closing & reporting to the group
• You support the preparation of statutory accounts & tax returns, you evaluate current and future legislation and ensure full compliance
• You support the Accounting Manager in ad hoc financial projects and you are his right hand
• As Senior Accountant you manage on a daily basis your two junior accountant colleagues

• You have a bachelor or master degree in accounting or any other degree in finance
• You have a previous experience of at least 5 years in a similar position
• As we grow we target people with potential to grow further into the organization: people management experience is therefore an important plus
• You are organized, pro-active and plan ahead

• Your position requires you to act ethically and to be discrete, this comes natural to you
• You are communicative toward the business you serve and the other financial services in the company
• You have worked earlier with Navision and you know to make maximum use of Excel as a financial expert
• You have excellent fiscal knowledge, excellent understanding of TVA-legislation and both for Belgium and the Netherlands
• You have worked in environments that were NE, BE Gaap and IFRS compliant
• We are a bilingual environment, good language skills in Dutch, French and English are a requirement
