Engineer IT Infrastructure (m/f)

You will work as an infrastructure engineer within the ICT expertise group. Your task package will consist of the following:

  • Managing and optimising important central IT infrastructure:
    • Active directory
    • Exchange Server
    • HyperV
    • System Center (SCCM, SCOM)
    • Central storage systems
    • Database systems
  • You will have basic knowledge of network and firewall concepts and will know how to apply this knowledge to your field to increase cyber security;
  • Providing solutions for legacy technologies or participating in their upgrade;
  • You will work closely with the database administrator and act as a backup;
  • You will be able to successfully complete projects, either as part of a team or alone;
  • Documenting operational, installation and management procedures of the IT systems;
  • Providing second-line support in one’s own knowledge area;
  • You will be eager to learn and open to implementing new technologies;
  • You will contribute to increasing general IT security;
  • Actively participating in improving the service provision and quality of business processes supported by ICT.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an infrastructure or database administrator;
  • Good knowledge of and/or experience with several of the following concepts and products:
    • On premise Active Directory and integration to Azure AD
    • Server management (HyperV, VMware or hardware)
    • MS Exchange and Office365 applications
    • Various scripting languages and system programming (PowerShell, C#)
    • Juniper and Palo Alto network and firewalls
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and T-SQL is an advantage;
  • A sense of initiative, independence, organisation, analytical and project-based work;
  • The ability to interact flexibly and efficiently in new environments;
  • Creative, goal-oriented and assertive;
  • You will be happy participating in an on-call system;
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Adapted knowledge of Dutch, French and English;
  • Able to independently manage ICT infrastructure projects;
  • Experience in a managerial function in projects.
