Regulatory Affairs (RA) Specialist

Description

As a Junior Regulatory Affairs Specialist for 26 markets across the EMEA region, you will be a part of a growing team, interacting with other departments.As a member of the Regulatory Affairs Department you will contribute to ensuring compliance of Nu Skin with relevant national and EU product compliance regulations in the field of food/food supplements, including but not limited to claims, labeling, formulation and product registration/notification requirements for countries and product categories.

Responsibilities

  • Execute regulatory compliance reviews of formula concepts to determine ingredient acceptability, product classification, permissible claims and potential sales restrictions for countries and product categories. Maintain regulatory product files updated.
  • Effectively communicate with Global Corporate Regulatory Specialists, Regional Product Managers, consultants, and other departments on a daily basis with regard to regulatory aspects during the full product lifecycle.
  • Review product packaging content and product information for compliance with national laws.
  • Complete and maintain product registrations, notifications and certifications by requesting, preparing, and submitting to government authorities and third-parties data from various company sources in a timely fashion without interruption to sales.
  • Support the Regulatory Affairs department in responding to inquiries from government authorities by requesting, preparing, and submitting technical and non-technical data from various company sources.
  • Keep up to date with developments in regulatory compliance for countries and product categories. Routinely and confidently interprets a large volume of continually-changing, complex legal material and its practical application
  • Carries out other responsibilities as indicated by the RA Manager.
  • Food, biochemistry, chemistry, biology, medical or a closely related scientific field
  • A first experience in food regulatory in the industry, regulatory authority, consultancy or a natural interest in the regulatory environment would be a strong asset
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills in English
  • Organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to multitask.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, positive- demonstrating a « can do » attitude, able to work autonomously
  • Friendly, approachable and flexible-a team player
  • Solid collaborative, consultative, problem solving and analytical skills
