WHAT DOES THE MAINTENANCE MANAGER DO?
As Maintenance Manager you implement the maintenance strategy and the maintenance plan to ensure at all times the safety and reliability of the production site, in close collaboration with the Production Manager. You lead, motivate, and animate a maintenance team of 12 people, who is specialized in mechanics, instrumentation and electricity. You manage the planning and execution of work done by subcontractors, building a long term partnership with them and always ensuring safety. You take on an active role in efficiency projects and bring your own initiatives to the table. You ensure compliance with local, national and european legislation, specifically for regular inspections.
You are allocated your own budget and you are responsible for its deployment and for following the costs, in accordance with the maintenance strategy.
You give support to the other departments and together with the other department managers you form the site management.
Scope and direct report: Reports to the Plant Manager Seraing
You can become a Maintenance Manager with a Bachelor in Engineering and 5-7 years proven experience in an industrial environment and management position.
- Methodical Ability to analyze situations and develop actions plans accordingly
- Organisational skills: Planning and overseeing the different projects, priority settings
- Conscientious Taking ownership of the maintenance strategy and plans
- People Management Motivating and developing the individual people in the teams
- Collaboration Supporting the other teams with expertise and advice when needed
- Languages Fluent in French and English. Dutch is a plus
- High Reactivity and proactivity
- Communicative Ability to transfer needed information to the according stakeholders in an efficient and clear manner
- Customer Needs mindset
