Description
In this role the Quality Assurance Engineer debugs (web based) software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. He/She will report to the Web Business Analyst Team Lead.
Responsibilities
- Debug (web based) software products when bugs arise.
- Develop, maintain and execute manual and automated test cases.
- Report and document defects in Jira and collaborate with Development on duplication steps.
- Interact with BA’s to go over requirements and write out use cases and will execute these use cases once code is deployed to test.
- Coordinate market acceptance testing with call center staff under the supervision of a BA.
- Attend daily scrum meeting and weekly planning meetings and report results.
- Pushes code bundles to our test environment for EMEA developers.
- A bachelor’s in computer science or equal by professional experience.
- 2 years of experience within an IT role (support, development, …).
- Basic understanding of main flows within the system(s) and area(s) assigned.
- Any experience in a Quality Assurance or Testing role is considered a major plus.
- Any knowledge of Java is considered a major plus.
- Any knowledge of Selenium is considered a major plus.
- An excellent communicator, both written & verbal. You master the English language.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- You are able to read, understand and write technical documentation.
- Able to organize personal workload.
- Able to investigate, analyze, summarize and troubleshoot business processes.
- Willing to work flexible hours.
- Willing to travel occasionally within the EMEA region, and overseas to corporate HQ.
