As a Digital Content Writer you will take on overall responsibility for all customer facing digital content on our channels (web, mobile, e-mail, error handling and notifications) for all product and service related copy. You will be expected to contribute to the overall team goal of improving the experience for our customers and reduce any existing frictions that might exist.
- Work in tandem with the commercial web shop team, and the members of the content production team to develop highly effective, original and targeted copy, which is in line with our brands, for the promotion of our products.
- Understand the ‘message’ required based on legal / product rules and provide relevant digital content.
- Write and edit digital creative materials for promotions & direct marketing (e-mail, newsletter, advertisements, …) and website content that fits tone and intended audience.
- Provide editorial content for our products covering topical subjects as it relates to our product and services, ensuring content remains fresh, targeted and in keeping with a specific brand tone of voice.
- Ability to create shareable, social content that will engage customers across social media channels for translations, provide all source copy and help communicate the intent.
- Edit and proofread additional materials as required.
- Actively work on copy optimisation using A/B testing.
- Responsible for tracking the effectiveness of copy on key user journeys monitoring KPI’s relating to contact issues for revised content.
- Work closely with technical & design team to understand new features and products to be delivered and ensure that all help copy is updated accordingly.
- Permanent contact with: Carrefour e-commerce team, marketing agencies, marketing of different business units.
- Previous experience (+3 years) in copy writing, editing digital content such as articles, blogs, emails is essential.
- Exposure to write print & digital promotional materials, online web content, press releases, copy to assist advertising and marketing efforts, etc.
- Used to writing original, concise, attention-grabbing copy in a variety of styles / tones that are targeted for the digital market.
- Highly creative and imaginative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized with an eye for detail especially for all copy related items.
- Possesses a good understanding of search engines and internet marketing.
- Knowledge of SEM is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for teamwork and the ability to brainstorm ideas and work in close partnership with others.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Experience working with Agile methodology.
- Bi-lingual Dutch & French with working knowledge of English.
